**Your Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Maintenance & Reliability, the Maintenance Planning Superintendent works collaboratively within maintenance and operations to ensure preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work is planned and prepared for efficient execution. The Maintenance Planning Superintendent is responsible for leading maintenance planning for all areas from wellfield to loadout, and is the overall responsible person for the direct base maintenance budgets.

The Maintenance Planning Superintendent is an integral part of the leadership team and influences the development strategy of the maintenance teams and activities. There is a strong focus on continuous improvement and to proactively lead the shutdowns and weekly planning and scheduling processes. This position is also responsible for ensuring contractors are available for planned maintenance activities and to ensure that the repair, maintenance and modification services for all of the operation components are effective and productive. The Maintenance Planning Superintendent also owns the overall department workflows, procedures for the CMMS and development of department Key Performance Indicators. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Provide leadership and mentoring of planners within the team. Lead the team using effective communication and create a positive and transparent work environment
- Ensures that all planned activity stays within allotted budget and no overruns occur. Tracking of budgets, especially major failures and expenditures, and knowledge of available funds will be completed monthly
- Develop a partnership with Production, Materials Management / Procurement, and all M&R department stakeholders in the weekly planning and scheduling process, and especially for major outage planning and shutdown processes
- Develop a partnership with Production, Reliability and Plant Engineering teams to develop an annual outage plan that supports the Mid Term Planning process
- Facilitate team analysis of completed tasks to ensure any potential improvements in all aspects are documented and carried forward for future implementations. Build failure into the learning and growth process
- Acting as a key stakeholder representing the department, engage and support other department initiatives. This involves attending meetings, completing actions, and informing other department stakeholders as necessary

**Your Profile**:

- Journeyman Trade or Engineering Technology diploma
- Bachelors Degree
- 5 to 8 years in people management, experience in heavy industry or mining is preferred
- Eight to twelve years in a technical role, experience in heavy industry or mining is preferred
