Mining Analyst

**Mining Analyst - 24 months term role**:
**Your Responsibilities**:
This is a 24 months term role.

Reporting to the Mine Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing Mining information and making decisions based on that analysis. Analysis includes gamma-ray neutron log interpretation, as well as full ownership of the IRIS, Wellman, and Weatherford systems on behalf of the Mining department.

IRIS is the technical reporting system used by the Ministry of Energy and Resources. Responsibilities include taking the initiative to enter IRIS information within government set timelines and submitting information and completion reports to the Ministry of Energy and Resources as new caverns are drilled or abandoned.

This position is also responsible to enter drilling information, logs, and cement bond longs on SAP. Additional tasks include the creation, standardization, structuring, and maintenance of Mining databases. It is also a responsibility to test software updates on programs such as SAP Cavern Cockpit. When issues are detected, the Mining Analyst must problem solve and work with IT to determine and implement a solution.

**You**:

- 2 year diploma or an equivalent education in Administration/Business
- Solution mining experience would be an asset
- Experience with SAP & IRIS is an asset
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- A good team player with a positive attitude is a must
- The detailed nature of data management requires exceptional organizational skills
- Experience with IRIS reporting to Ministry of Energy and Resources is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs and SAP is an asset
