Hours: 35hrs/week

Wage: $18/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-4:30pm. Some flexibility may be required based on special events and projects.

Position Timeline: This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program for 7 weeks from hire, but may be extended by the organization, dependent upon availability & ongoing funding.

**Position Purpose**:
Funded by a grant for the Canada Summer Jobs program, the Communications Intern will work to support the Resource Development and Communications team. They will bring direct experience in communications and/or community engagement to fulfill support tasks in the department, focused on administrative support, research and content development.

**Duties**:
The Resource Development & Communications Intern will support ICCS in the following ways:

- Content creation including research and writing specifically related to social media and website.
- Development and maintenance of a photo/video archive.
- Website maintenance support.
- Administrative tasks including:

- Donation tracking and acknowledgement.
- Front desk reception duties in the absence of the Administrative Assistant.
- Donor correspondence and engagement.
- Special projects to be determined based on the intern’s unique skills and interests.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Diploma (completed or in progress) in a related media, communications, human / social service or other related field.

**Training and Experience**:

- Some office or administrative experience will be considered an asset.
- A combination of education/experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Media & communications
- Creative writing/content creation
- Non-profit development
- Fundraising
