DEMA Land Services is an industry leader in managing Indigenous Consultation on major capital projects as well as specializing in current unimproved and historic valuations. We are currently seeking a Consultation/Appraisal Administrator to manage various types of project data related to Specific Land Claims and public infrastructure projects across Canada and to assist with proponent
- and Crown-led consultation with Indigenous communities. Depending on skills and interests, this position has the potential to grow and expand in responsibilities.

Main duties include:

- Data entry and transcription of primary and secondary historic documents, both hand written and typed.
- Organizing collected and provided information into spreadsheets and databases, and subsequent management of the data.
- Historical research through primary and secondary sources under the direction of a Lead Researcher.
- Performing real property database and sales searches.
- Undertaking current and historic market research.
- Management of projects related to data entry and transcription.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Indigenous Consultation & Engagement, other aspects of this position include:

- Communicating with clients, Crown/government representatives, and Indigenous groups in facilitating the Crown’s Duty to Consult.
- Organizing and facilitating meetings and site visits with Crown and Indigenous representatives.
- Recording meeting minutes.
- Maintaining Records of Consultation documenting all correspondence.
- Coordinating travel arrangements, as required.

Required education/skills/attributes include:

- Post-secondary diploma/degree in either Anthropology, Native Studies, History, Economics, Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Sciences or other related fields.
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel/Word, document formatting, file management, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with databases is an asset.
- Knowledge of Indigenous history and the Treaties within Alberta and Canada.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and record keeping skills.
- Experience with report editing/formatting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated professional maturity and diplomacy.
- Experience with GIS is an asset.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Experience with primary sources and archival documents is an asset.

Travel for site visits will be required - applicants must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract that will meet our insurance requirements.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
