**Job Description**:
Elevating operational efficiency, the Materials Coordinator diligently assesses and fulfills the material requirements of the local area. Tasked with requisition, acquisition, meticulous organization, and precise inventory control, this role is pivotal in maintaining seamless operations. Reporting directly to the Senior E&I Manager, the Materials Coordinator is a cornerstone in our pursuit of excellence.

This position is based in Grande Prairie, AB, and works on a Monday - Friday schedule. Applicants must be able to commute to the shop for all shifts_**_._**

**What would you be doing?**
- Assess material requisitions and source quotes and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers.
- Utilize the IFS operating system for efficient material ordering and tracking.
- Coordinate material pickup and delivery logistics and operate company truck (non-GDL class 5).
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and the management team.
- Demonstrate proficiency in general computer skills.
- Maintain organization and exhibit strong time management.
- Utilize procedures to guarantee the best value and service for FLINT.
- Coordinate warehouse and supply chain activities to ensure physical inventories are conducted, material requests are correctly received and accounted for promptly, and materials are stored using orderly, systematic methods.
- Follow up on safety work orders with the applicable associates to ensure requests are performed expeditiously.
- Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain Management department to efficiently ensure the paper flows on asset tracking and accounts payables functions.
- Conduct continuous exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery to ensure a win-win solution for the vendor and our company.
- Conduct ongoing safety inspections throughout the warehouse/yard and other facilities and correct or issue work orders to correct any identified deficiencies.
- Prepare and submit requisitions in conjunction with Operations as required.
- Perform other duties as required and handle special projects from time to time as assigned by management.

- Knowledge of electrical/instrumentation parts is considered an asset.
- Ability to prepare, analyze and present reports.
- Ability to create and maintain accurate and organized documentation.
- Proficiency with core Microsoft Office suite programs.
- High School Diploma and relevant work experience.
- Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Procurement is an asset.
- 2 years experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Procurement.
- Working towards CPIM/APICS or SCMP designation is considered an asset.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organization.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
