**HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the world’s mining and exploration industry. We are seeking for a skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager.**

**OBJECTIVES**

The Quality Control Manager will champion support and lead the quality management system, ISO standards and related activities and quality improvement initiatives. He is responsible for ensuring that all managers, process owners and supervisors develop and maintain their part of the quality management system. Additionally he will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a customer-focused culture within the company.

**RESPONSIBLITIES**
- **Quality Management System**
- Work with Sales, Materials, Engineering and Production, to propose and develop quality goals and targets in the company’s strategic plan.
- Monitors and reports on how the QMS performance, including the publication of statistics regarding company performance against set quality metrics and making recommendations on how to improve the QMS performance.
- Identify and alert Management on quality issues and critical failures and take follow up actions in collaboration with interface departments and parties concerned.
- Develop, obtain buy-in from interface departments and Management approval, issue and implement company quality control (assurance) programs.
- Act as QMS Document Controller and Administrator in ISO Standards Certification. Take custody of record keeping of all Quality Department files.
- Plan and execute internal ISO quality audit programs.
- Plan and administer the annual external ISO audit and re-certification program.
- Ensure that all SQM data sheets and forms are properly completed by parties concerned and issue non-compliance notice to department heads for performance and discipline corrective actions.
- Take stewardship of Quality surveillance system and records.
- Take stewardship of all QSPs.
- Take stewardship of Production, Technical and Process (PTP) competence test assessment system.
- Ensure the consistent updating and effective administration of PTP tests and skills certification in accordance with QMS standards and requirements.
- Train and certify QD staff to conduct PTP tests and skills certification.
- Work with interface departments to develop and update SOP/QSP.
- Develop and implement new SOP training plans and ensure effective training of new/revised SOPs.
- Develop and implement all material inspection system and protocols, process IQC and FQC system and protocol.
- Custodian for QC Inspection and Final Inspector stamps.
- **Process/ Product quality control and improvement**
- Work with interface departments to identify Process/ Product quality control and improvement opportunities and develop projects for Operations Manager consideration and approval.
- Maintain, monitor and take remedial action on all Non Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Ensure proper authorization and disposition of non-conforming parts/products as per SOP.
- Check Work Orders to verify accuracy and QSP compliance.
- Provide relevant SQC data record sheets for all process control points in Production.
- Provide Inspection sheet for QC inspectors.
- Custody of Quarantine Area and it’s inventories.
- Custody of boxes and crates of bit scrap.
- Work closely with Production teams to ensure a high level of quality is delivered at all times.
- Performs calibration for all applicable measuring equipment (Caliper, weigh scale, etc.) and maintain records.
- Conduct product test and evaluation using standardized protocols and methods.
- Provide On Time Delivery Report/Chart/Trend.
- Provide Queue Time Chart.
- Provide Non Conformance Report/Chart/Trend.
- Participate in projects as and when required.

**III. Customer satisfaction assurance**
- Ensures that customer product requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and properly documented as per QMS requirements; and the company is meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Work closely with Sales to resolve customer complaints/ feedback on quality issues.
- Provide failure analysis reports and recommendations to Sales/customers.
- Support Sales to strengthen customer value chain by prompt and effective resolution of customer complaints.
- Provide report for Returned Goods and keep file updated.
- **Staff training and development**
- Train all new QD staff.
- Shift scheduling and administer leave planning and staffing plan for QD staff under Quality Department.
- **Staff and discipline management**
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to QD staff.
- Consult with HR to manage all staff discipline and administration matters.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in metal parts manufacturing production in supervisory position.
