**Job Overview**

The Human Resources (HR) Associate plays a key role in supporting various human resources functions within the organization including, recruitment, onboarding, records management, employee relations, training and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HR Associate is responsible for obtaining, recording, and interpreting human resources information within CNH, including managing HR records such as job applicant documents, employee forms, employment letters, and verifying their completion. The HR Associate collaborates closely with employees and management to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Human Resources Management Certificate or equivalent; or a combination of education and work experience in human resources management is required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an HR role
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws in British Columbia
- Experience and or knowledge about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
- Familiar with working in Unionized environments
- Proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google Docs, and Video conferencing
- Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Facilitation/presentation skills
- High level of confidentiality
- Integrity and ethical conduct
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

**Assets**
- CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation
- Experience with payroll administration
- Knowledge of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system
- Experience working in a cross-cultural, anti-racist, and equitable environment
- Experience working in a not-for-profit environment
- Knowledge of a language(s) other than English

**Job Details**
- **Schedule**: 21 hours/week
- **Salary**: $26/hr to $28/hr
- Extended health, dental benefits and pension plan
- Paid vacation starting at 2 weeks per year plus paid sick days
