**Summary**:
The Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for advancing the mission of Hospice Calgary’s programs by fostering strong relationships with donors and volunteers. The Fundraising Specialist will generate donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations by managing a portfolio of donors and prospects.

**Description**:
**Hospice Calgary has been guiding children, teens, and adults through the grieving process as they face advanced illness and death of someone in their life for over 30 years. Our team of professionals provide individual, family and group support as well as 24-hour end-of-life care. We promise to have the difficult conversations about death, dying, and grief while hearing everyone’s unique story and responding with compassion.**

**Fundraising Specialist - **1.0 FTE, Permanent Full Time

**What you’ll do**:
In addition to ongoing position-related responsibilities, you will have key deliverables and projects ready to go from day one You will:

- Develop and lead a corporate donor program to create new connections and steward existing relationships.
- Lead an initiative to engage with local service clubs to build relationships with a goal to acquiring new donors and renewing lapsed donors.
- Build new stewardship processes to create an engaging donor journey using workflows and other creative solutions.
- Take ownership and responsibility for giving campaigns throughout the year, and, using your creativity, come up with fresh fundraising ideas.

**Minimum Qualifications & Competencies**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 2-5 years’ related experience in fundraising
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience with donor CRM data systems required, Raiser’s Edge
