**About the Role**

Willowglen Systems is looking for a **Controller **for a 9-Month contract. The Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure that all tasks associated with the company’s finances are completed accurately and on time which leads to properly prepared financial statements.***

**_Key Responsibilities_**
- Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
- Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
- Maximize return and limit risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments.
- Prepare budgets by establishing schedules - collect, analyze, and consolidate financial data and recommend plans.
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Compile federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
- Communicate financial metrics to the executive team.
- Manage the preparation of payroll for employees.
- Provide leadership support to the financial staff by coaching and counseling them and by planning, monitoring, and appraising their job results.
- Protect operations by keeping Other duties as required.

**_Required Qualifications_**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Accounting designation (CMA, CPA, or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
- Minimum 10 years accounting experience in accounting or financial management role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to work closely with the senior management team.
