Dental Assistant/treatment Co-ordinator

Our office is open Monday-Thursday.

No evenings and no weekends.

**Responsibilities**:
**Assisting**:

- Assist chair-side during all periodontal exams and procedures
- Clinical chair-side assisting duties include knowledge of instrumentation and taking digital x-rays
- Maintain treatment room in accordance with sterilization standards and practice protocols
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and create a welcoming experience for them

**Treatment Co-ordinating**:

- Build good relationships with patients and understand their needs
- Develop the treatment presentation material based on the periodontist’s treatment plan
- Present treatment options to patients reinforcing the periodontist’s recommendations
- Help educate patients on the treatment modalities, benefits of the treatment and guide them in understanding the treatment options
- Schedule patient treatment appointments and review surgical pre/post operative procedures
- Send estimates to insurance carriers and follow-up with patients

**Qualifications**:

- Harp certification is a requirement
- Minimum 2 years experience as a dental assistant
- Fluency in the English language
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, and ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
- Excellent time management skills and organizational abilities
- Detail oriented and multi-tasking
- Strong team player
- Experience using Dentrix is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

- No weekends
