Continuous Improvement Coordinator

**Job Summary**:
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to coordinate activities related to improve processes related to Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality departments. This role is responsible for maintaining the proper department staff using students from Co-Op programs associated with Ontario Colleges.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Coordinate 3D modeling related projects:
- Feature-based parametric modeling and creation of detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Collection of existing drawings & sketches, converting them into 3d models and technical drawings. Component level and assembly level using bottom-up approach in SolidWorks.
- Configuration creation for similar components.
- Maintenance of company standard drawing templates in SolidWorks.
- Creation of a 3D library for standard components.
- Maintain standards for document control, quality, and traceability.
- Maintain accurate electronic files.
- Coordinate Engineering related projects:
- Creation of basic design for mixers and pumps as per customer requirements.
- Preparation of mechanical drawings with dimensions and tolerance.
- Creation of assembly/part drawings, Bill of Material, feature drawings and process flow.
- Preparation of production documentation.
- Creation, execution, and completion of engineering change orders.
- Continuous Improvement related activities:
- Lead Continuous Improvement plans such as 5S and TPM implementation.
- Provide quality assurance support (SOP and work instruction generation and maintenance).
- Provide production control support (MRP, work order management, capacity planning, shop floor control activities).
- Provide inventory control support (cycle counts, inventory rearrangement).
- Coordinate our Co-Op program activities.
- Lean Six Sigma statistical analysis.
- Consistent creation of progress reports and presentations.
- Other duties as specified by Operations Management.
**Requirements**:

**Education & Skills**:
- Concluded Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology programs.
- Mechanical aptitude, drafting ability, knowledge of GD&T, knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to generate accurate 3D solid models and 2D drawings.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Human relations and oral and written communication skills required for working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and shop floor.
- Good organizational skills.
- Lean-Six Sigma knowledge.
**Experience**:
- Familiar with manufacturing environment
- Familiar with ERP systems
- Technical knowledge and understanding of rotating equipment (impellers, housings, shafts, pumps, and mixers)
**Working Conditions**:
- Hours of operation: 8:00am to 4:30pm
