**The Role**:
**Career coaches offer support and guidance, using their skills and knowledge of the labour market to**:
- Understand their client’s needs, barriers, motivations, and interests
- Prepare an accurate and detailed assessment of the client’s current employment situation, documenting and acknowledging any pertinent challenges to employment including but not limited to physical, mental, neurodevelopmental, psychosocial, language or technological barriers.
- Review an employment plan with the client and clarify client’s service expectations and the methods that will be used to address these challenges
- Research relevant job opportunities and companies of interest to present to the client
- Provides client with community resource information and tools for success
- Manage and store client information in paper and electronic file formats.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Beginner-Intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Ability to understand and converse in both official languages (English/French)
- A valid driver’s license
- First Aid and CPR, Level C is an asset
- Clear Criminal Record
**Education Requirements**:
- A post-secondary bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Social Work, Education or Counselling, and at least one year of counselling-based work experience OR
- A diploma/ certificate in Human Services or a related discipline backed with solid industry work experience OR
- Other education and work experience equivalencies may be considered
