The Sales & Business Development Representative will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with key customers while also developing new connections within the designated sales territory. This role requires a deep understanding of company products, programs, and policies to ensure exceptional customer care for both internal and external clients. Utilizing a combination of virtual and in-person interactions, the representative will promote Northern Contours products, identify new sales opportunities, and ensure a seamless customer experience is achieved, with a focus on customer service excellence.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and execute a Strategic Sales plan to increase market share, focusing on key customer channels such as Multi-Family, Single-Family Re-facers, Commercial Contracts, Cabinetry, and Architecture & Design firms.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with top specifiers in various market channels by engaging with local, regional, and national strategic targets to drive product specification.
- Establish connections within the territory to stay informed about projects, generate interest, and provide proposals for the use of our components.
- Organize and conduct Product Knowledge trainings with assigned accounts to ensure understanding and utilization of our offerings.
- Collaborate with the Inside Sales Manager, National Sales Director, and peers to develop strategies for targeted channel opportunities and engagement with the design community.
- Work closely with Channel Managers to explore and maintain new avenues for market share growth.
- Communicate business and design trends, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristics to Product Development & Marketing teams.
- Attend and actively participate in trade and industry events (such as KBIS, IWF) to enhance client knowledge of NCI and stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities.
- Manage assigned budgets within approved guidelines to sustain existing business and drive sales growth

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS**:

- Proven success in an outside sales environment, preferably within the cabinetry or decorative products industry.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying client needs and aligning them with product offerings; experience with specification analysis and RFQ/CRM is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients, customers, and influencers (both internal and external).
- Proficient in sales and negotiation techniques.
- Effective presentation skills for engaging both small and large audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Capacity to analyze market conditions and competition to develop strategic responses.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Active listening, communication, energy, enthusiasm, and resilience.
- Flexibility to capitalize on business opportunities as they arise.
- Post secondary education in business
- or marketing-related field preferred
- Availability for daily travel within the sales territory, occasional overnight travel (up to 25%), and willingness to work non-standard hours.
