Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Calgary, Canada Equation Staffing Solutions. Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Review purchase and sale contracts, financing Leases, and Land Titles documents
- Commercial real estate transactions - drafting and full processing of legal and banking documents in the areas of purchase, sale and refinance from opening to closing files
- Commercial lending transactions
- Provide support for acquisitions and sales of commercial properties, condominium developments, financing transactions, and land development
- Draft wills and estates, interest in Corporate Law
- Preparing invoices, drafting and filing legal documents for transactions
- Dealing with municipalities and strata corporations
- Schedule meetings, conduct minute book reviews, and prepare documents to correct minute book deficiencies
- Conducting and reviewing corporate searches
- Updating and maintaining corporate records and ensuring documents comply with the applicable legislation and are entered into the database

**Requirements**:

- Legal Assistant diploma from an accredited college
- 5+ years of experience in real estate transactions
- Previous experience in corporate law and an interest in corporate law would be well-regarded
- Commercial real estate knowledge is a strong asset
- Excellent written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills interacting with clients by telephone and in person
- Full knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Outlook
- Can confidentiality work autonomously with mínimal guidance and training
- Able to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines
- Readily available to assist others when required
