Our client is a general practice law firm who is seeking a detail oriented, professional and enthusiastic Real Estate Paralegal. Our client prides itself on a very positive and inclusive working environment, ensuring their clients are served at the highest level and are looking for a like minded Paralegal to join their high functioning team

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be professional and a team play and have a minimum of five years residential real estate experience within a legal capacity.

  • Obtain relevant searches;
  • Prepare real estate files in their entirety including conveyancing and mortgage documents;
  • Correspond with clients, lenders, condo managers, law firms and other relevant parties;
  • Work closely with the supervising lawyer;
  • Prepare reports to clients and lenders; and
  • Other duties as assigned – our client is a team and although this role is the primary for Real Estate, others are trained and willing to step in and help and the successful candidate will be expected to do the same for them

Qualifications :

  • Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized institution is an asset but not required;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience handling residential real estate files independently;
  • Experience using Prolegis will be considerd an asset, however other real estate management software will also be recognized;
  • Experience using Unity Accounting or other legal accounting software.
  • Experience using SPIN system;
  • Dedicated to providing quality service to clients;
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently ,as well as part of a team; and
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver creative solutions.
