Our client is a highly respected boutique residential real estate firm. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Real Estate Paralegal to join their firm. Our client prides itself on a very positive and inclusive working environment, ensuring their clients are served at the highest level. The ideal candidate will be polished and professional and have a minimum of three years of residential real estate experience within a legal capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation and review of legal documents and correspondence, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and mortgage documents.
  • Managing the closing process, including coordinating with clients, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
  • Drafting correspondence and communicating with clients, real estate agents, and other professionals involved in the transaction
  • Maintaining and organizing client files
  • Work closely with the supervising lawyer; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized institution;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience handling residential real estate files from beginning to end;
  • Experience using Law Done Deal (LDD) or a similar system;
  • Experience using SPIN system;
  • Experience with EsiLaw or similar accounting system;
  • Experience handling private lending files is considered an asset;
  • Have strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight timelines and deadlines
  • Dedicated to providing quality service to clients;
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
