**About the role**

As a Payer Solutions Lead, you will be an integral part of the Access, Pricing and External Engagement (APEX) team, a dynamic and diverse group of professionals who are committed to delivering value to patients, payers, and health care providers.

**Who you’ll work with**

You will report to and work closely with the Head of the APEX team. In addition, you will work closely with the HTA and Payer Submissions lead, and the External Stakeholder Engagement Lead. You will also interact closely with cross-functional teams such as UCB Regional (International Markets), Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Patient Value Units (PVUs), Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Finance.

**What you’ll do**
- Contributing to HTA, public and private payer submissions strategies and tactics - highlight evidence gaps and needs to support optimal access and pricing outcome for public HTAs and private reimbursement needs (jointly, with HTA & Payer submissions Lead and other functional team members).
- Being the primary contact for managing public and private payer agreements.
- Participating in the cross-functional launch excellence meetings for new assets from an access strategy perspective.
- Supporting the Head of the APEX team on payer negotiations.
- Build and maintain long-term, trusting relationships and partnerships with Payers that allow for depth of insight into their needs, objectives, challenges and budgetary / value considerations, and emergent trends and policies.
- Actively participate in patient, Payer and other stakeholder advisory boards for insights in the unmet needs the solutions will address and how best to deliver the solution (jointly, with other function/APEX team members).

**Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills**
- Bachelor’s Degree, however Master’s Degree preferred, and comprehensive experience in HTA and market access strategy, and Health Economics and outcomes research knowledge and expertise
- Proven track record in the design and implementation of patient access strategies that have led to successful Public and Private reimbursement outcomes
- Insight into emerging Market Access trends
- Ability to effectively work in teams, collaborate, lead by influence, negotiate, bring creative and innovative ideas to the table
- Positive “can-do” mindset
- Financials and business acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language, Bi-lingual (English/French) will be preferred
- Fully Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Willingness to travel as needed (20% or less)

En tant que Chef, Solutions tiers-payeurs, vous ferez partie de l’équipe Accès, prix et engagement externe (APEX), un groupe de professionnels dynamiques de différents horizons déterminés à apporter de la valeur aux patients, aux payeurs et aux professionnels de la santé.

**Votre équipe et vos collègues**

Vous relèverez de la ou du chef de l’équipe APEX et travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec lui ou elle. De plus, vous travaillerez étroitement avec la ou le chef de l’évaluation des technologies de la santé (ETS) et des demandes auprès des payeurs, et la ou le chef de l’engagement des parties prenantes externes. Vous interagirez également avec des équipes interfonctionnelles telles que l’équipe Régionale d’UCB (marchés internationaux), l’équipe des Affaires médicales, l’équipe des Affaires réglementaires, l’équipe du service de valeur aux patients, l’équipe marketing, l’équipe de ventes, de même que l’équipe juridique et l’équipe des finances.

**Vos responsabilités**
- Participer aux stratégies et tactiques pour les soumissions au service d’évaluation des technologies de la santé et aux payeurs publics et privés - mettre en évidence les lacunes et les besoins en matière de données probantes afin de soutenir l’accès optimal et les résultats en matière de prix pour les ETS publiques et les besoins de remboursement privés (conjointement avec le responsable des soumissions d’ETS et de payeurs et d’autres membres de l’équipe fonctionnelle).
- Être le contact principal pour la gestion des accords avec les payeurs publics et privés.
- Participer aux réunions interfonctionnelles sur l’excellence du lancement des nouveaux produits du point de vue de la stratégie d’accès.
- Soutenir le chef de l’équipe APEX dans les négociations avec les payeurs.
- Établir et maintenir des relations et des partenariats de confiance à long terme avec les payeurs, afin de mieux comprendre leurs besoins, leurs objectifs, leurs défis, leurs critères en matière de budget et de valeur, ainsi que les tendances et politiques émergentes.
