**Job Description**:
What you can expect in a typical day:
This position is accountable to act as a contributing/participating strategic partner that provides support to the value centers in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, performance and compensation management, learning and development and projects.

What you’ll need to succeed
- Performs the role of a Strategic HR Partner for leadership and management to help execute on business strategies
- Supports the business on all areas of Employee Performance Management, providing guidance and coaching on resolution of various employee relations issues.
- Partners with our Talent Acquisition team on recruitment strategies and resourcing to support the business needs
- Responsible for onboarding new hires and ensuring all tasks are completed timely and accurately
- Provide guidance/training on HR and company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance and adhere to company policies
- Executes various change initiatives throughout the responsible region (i.e. Communication, team structures, projects)
- Identifies and implements processes and organizational changes to support the business needs
- Supports workforce planning initiatives that meet the business requirements
- Prepares and conducts terminations which would include resource reduction initiatives
- Participates and contributes to projects that support the business requirements
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Team by performance of other duties as required.

- HR knowledge and experience of full employee lifecycle (recruit, hire, performance, exits)
- Knowledge of Provincial Employment Laws and Regulations
- Business and financial acumen.

- Proven ability to maintain confidence and professionalism while navigating through ambiguous and complex situations.

- Experience using various HRIS systems.
- Proactive in dealing with potential issues.
Travel
- Travel throughout New Brunswick and PEI is required on a regular basis
- Position can be based in either Saint John or Moncton, New Brunswick
Education and experience
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years HR operational experience
- CPHR designation an asset.
- Must be fully bilingual in both French/English
