Winkler, Canada Eden Foundation Full time

Position Summary:
The Director of Development is a senior management role which takes primary responsibility for all activities governed by the Eden Foundation Board and will attend regularly in Winkler, Winnipeg and Steinbach offices. The position works in close collaboration with the Eden Health Care Services (EHCS) CEO in relation to all areas of fund development, media and new program initiatives. The Director of Development takes significant responsibility to present the Eden organization to the public. This role reports directly to the Board Chair.

Qualifications:

- Relevant post-secondary education in Marketing, Volunteer or Fundraising
Management an asset.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role required, preferably in a non
- profit setting.
- Experience with budget management required.
- Experience in Mental Health services an asset.
- Demonstrated transparency, integrity and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational abilities, including planning, delegating and program
development.
- Support for and the ability to convey the Foundation’s vision, mission and values
to staff, board members, volunteers, community members and donors.
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations.
- Effective collaboration and motivation skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent public speaking skills.
- The ability to engage diverse demographic groups.

Main Responsibilities:

- Administrative:
Board reporting, attends various meetings, strategic planning, operations budget, policy/procedure development & executing Eden Foundation vision, mission, and values. Responsible for hiring, supervision, performance appraisal, professional development of Foundation support staff.
- Fundraising:

- Program Development:
Collaborating with EHCS CEO, Program Directors in reviewing synergies with respective programs and maintains positive working relationships with various supporting organizations within the community.
- Public Relations:
Building rapport with Manitoba churches & businesses to solicit financial support, enhancing public image by demonstrating an engaging presence, administering a rigorous program on donor recognition, and promoting Eden programming through news releases.
- Events:
Leading the planning and delivering of events, establishing event budgets, providing event reports to board members/staff, and promoting staff/board event involvement.
- Marketing:
Planning, coordinating, and delivering promotional media for events, administering sponsorship programs for Eden activities, promoting Eden programs in all regions as applicable, and pursuing new marketing avenues.

Working Conditions:

- Ability to travel to communities within the Southern Manitoba region is required.
- May be required to work events on evenings or weekends.

Pay: $65,040.00 per year
