**Position Summary**

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented and multi tasking Prepress Specialist to join our team.

**Pre-flight**
- Check customer supplied files when starting a new job, and compare it to the supplied copy for any differences and size conformity
- Ensure that job instructions are aligned to artwork supplied and/or referenced
- Verify colors used and check the resolution of any CT’s
- Responsible for ensuring that all artworks are saved in designated file locations on the server with the appropriate document control file naming specifications

**Trapping & Assembly**
- Manipulate files to match customer specs
- Create traps, holdbacks, overprints, knockouts, minimum type and line thickness accordingly based on specifications for different types of printing and client requirements to ensure customer jobs print properly
- Add printer registration marks and ID marks to all press ready files
- Files must be organized to follow defined job folder and server structure and properly prepared for achieving upon completion of project
- Ensuring common separations are respected
- Completed job quality control check

**Qualifications**
- Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat and CTP.
- Good understanding of digital file formats (pdf, tiff, eps)
- Color management skills and the ability to work with different digital formats are required
- Ability to continue to learn and use new graphics software on an ongoing basis
- Must have an understanding of Flexographic print processes and how one color affects another

**Experience Minimum Requirements**
- 3-5 years of work in a printing environment
- Full comprehension in reading work instructions
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Proofreading skills required
- Esko workflows knowledge is an asset
- Platemaking knowledge is an asset

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
