**The salary range for this position is**:
**Recruitment range: $80,673- $88,956** starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.

**Performance range: starting salary to max of $104,939** is available through annual performance increases.
- Job SummaryThis position manages the Advancement Services Strategy and Operations team responsible for providing strategic guidance integral to the successful management of core business operations within Advancement Services. The team is responsible for Organizational Procedures, Resource Management, Stakeholder Relationships, & Special Projects.

The Manager, Strategy and Operations, has a lead role in operational strategy, improving advancement business processes, identifying opportunities for interdepartmental collaboration and meaningful engagement with stakeholders.

They are responsible for planning, prioritizing, coordinating and identifying gaps in our best practices and documentation as well as allocating work for all assigned staff.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Develop, implement and monitor a multi-year plan for the delivery of organizational procedures for prospect research, advancement systems, gift services and donor relations including: guidelines & principles, standard practices, documentation and templates and policies & procedures.
- Work with stakeholders across Advancement and the University.
- Facilitate management of reporting packages for board of governors, senior executive, deans, advancement offices
- Implementing planning tools, and measurement metrics.
- Stakeholders include: UVic Board, UVic Foundation Board & UVic US Foundation

The Manager works directly with the Director, Advancement Services, AVP of Alumni & Development, as well as other Alumni & Development stakeholders. This position serves as a member of the Management group in A&D and a senior staff member in the division of External Relations.
- Job RequirementsA university undergraduate degree is preferred for this position or equivalent combination of education and experience plus a minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience working in Fundraising, Research or Alumni Relations
- Considerable experience with process and project development in the areas of major gift fundraising, pipeline, reporting, analysis and metrics, alumni relations, research & prospect management.
- Knowledge of Advancement Services systems and tools including: Raiser’s Edge, RENXT, NetCommunity, Online Express and reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI & Tableau
- Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to drive multiple high-level projects simultaneously with multi-stakeholder involvement in a complex environment
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence individuals at all levels of an organization, as well as external constituents

- Advanced technical skills, comfort in working with today’s software and office hardware, including Blackbaud fundraising products, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and PowerBI
