The Résidence l’Oiseau Bleu has the pleasure of housing just over 300 autonomous, semi-autonomous and slightly loss-of-autonomy residents. A golden clientele and a team dedicated to their well-being Customer service is at the heart of our values. We are looking for a person to fill the position of food assistant in the kitchen.

**:
This position involves preparing in the kitchen, assembling the plates, serving in the dining room, cleaning the tables and washing the dishes. We are looking for a very versatile person. The schedule varies during the week and includes every other weekend.

**ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assemble plates of food
- Assist in ensuring resident and staff safety in the dinning room by enforcing compliance with health and safety standards
- Be required to participate in the serving of meals and/or light housework when required
- Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service
- Clean kitchen equipment
- Clean kitchen equipment after each use (pots, stove, mixers etc.)
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Contribute to the teams efforts to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dinning room(s)
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable
- Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices
- Peel and cut vegetables for meals
- Perform other related duties
- Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts
- Wash dishes after each meal and store in appropriate places
