Growlies also offers pets a wide range of premium supplements, as well as a selection of raw-compatible and raw-complimentary gently cooked options, dehydrated and freeze-dried foods, and treats.

Growlies is seeking an experienced and skilled full-time store manager to lead the team at our **Upper Tantallon location**.

- Our main location offers customers the largest selection of Raw Feeding options in Atlantic Canada with 23 freezer doors and 10 chest freezers in-store, as well as a fully-digitized drive-thru shopping experience - the first of its kind in the pet industry Our signature event is our “Tollden BBQ”, serving dogs throughout the summer months

**Bedford** - Our Bedford location offers customers a similar selection of Raw Feeding options with 18 freezer doors and 6 chest freezers in-store, as well as Atlantic Canada's first-ever bistro for dogs - il Canino Dog Beefstro Serving a-la-carte and made-to-order gently cooked meals for dogs in our fully outfitted commercial kitchen. We specialize in “Barkday Pawties”

You are a motivated, self-starter and team player, with strong managerial experience, exceptional customer service skills and a proven sales and customer acquisition record. You are self-sufficient, can self-regulate. You value personal accountability and constructive criticism and hold others to the same standard.

You must have a strong interest (experience preferred) in pet nutrition in the area of raw and fresh feeding, a desire to learn about raw and fresh feeding for pets on an ongoing basis, as well a keen drive to teach others the same - both customers and your team. Additionally, you are sales motivated and sales-driven.

- Work in a cold storage environment (-18 walk-in freezer - PPE provided)
- Repetitively lift up to 50lbs
- Work weekends as part of this full-time position
- Lead a team of staff
- Feed your pet a raw diet
- **Essential Functions**:_
- Store operations
- Staff Payroll
- Staff Scheduling
- Facilitate and manage inventory transfers between locations
- Implement policies from upper management and ensure staff adhere to protocols
- Maintain, improve and implement store processes
- Liaise with other store managers across the team
- Educate consumers on raw food for pets and make recommendations
- Educate customers on supplements and make recommendations
- Recommend brands and products specific to customer needs
- Assess and identify customer needs
- Coordinate and place store orders
- Receive orders
- Liaise with vendors and sales reps
- Interact with customers, regularly maintaining outstanding levels of customer engagement
- Restock shelves
- Restock freezers
- Rotate stock
- Count and manage inventory
- Train new staff
- Ongoing staff training
- Follow all store SOPs
- Meet sales targets
- Meet sales challenges
- Make "add-on" sales - master the art of “upselling”
- Operate sales terminal
- Write weekly report
- Participate in Team Meetings (in-person or virtual)
- Contribute to and execute successful customer acquisition strategies
- Organize and participate in customer acquisition and marketing initiatives (markets, exhibitions, trade shows, special events, etc)
- **Your Qualifications**:_
- Pet specialty sales experience
- Pet specialty management experience
- Pet specialty retail experience
- Experience with POS/inventory software
- Ability to confidently and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
