- As a Project Lead, you will execute and oversee the completion of multiple concurrent capital projects and related process management functions. Primary duties include:

- Build and lead inclusive, high-performing teams that foster personal and professional growth, model City values, and promote a supportive and respectful workplace environment.
- Supervise the project delivery team to ensure all capital projects are managed in alignment with the Corporate Project Management Framework and meet quality standards.
- Serve as a strong communicator and patient teacher, assigning tasks, managing performance, and supporting organizational change. Empower team members to take calculated risks to improve service delivery.
- Oversee project design and execution, including scope definition, interested party engagement, timelines, strategies, and budgets.
- Prepare procurement documents and conduct negotiations with consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
- Manage consultant and contractor performance from selection to project completion, including progress reporting, change requests, cost tracking, and permit coordination.
- Gather and evaluate feedback from involved parties, develop recommendations, and prepare reports for senior management as needed.
- Coordinate with internal departments, regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in Engineering or Architecture and at least 4 years of relevant experience in project design, tendering, construction, and financial project management are required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in managing design and construction consultants and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation will be an asset.
- Working knowledge of The City's project management processes is considered an asset.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project, will also be an asset.
- Applicants should have demonstrated experience in the management and execution of complex capital expenditures.
- Success in this position requires effective planning, organizational, and leadership skills, along with a high degree of analysis using strategic thinking and sound judgment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

**Pre-employment Requirements**

**Pre-employment Drug Test**: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
