**The Opportunity**

Do you have 3-5 years of experience in major gifts, planned giving and the not for profit sector, along with University and/or professional certification? The Development Officer, Legacy Giving, is responsible for the marketing, coordinating, and closing of legacy gifts for UGM, and is responsible for the growth of the Legacy program through prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of legacy donors. The incumbent provides regular supervision and direction to the Development Coordinators, Legacy Giving, whose primary responsibility is to maintain and execute the legacy survey system.

You may come into contact with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
