Commercial Solutions Specialist

**Job Summary**
**What is the opportunity?**
A Commercial Solutions Specialist is a core strategic member of the commercial banking team. As a specialist, you actively lean into the client’s journey to provide tailored advice and enable clients to utilize RBC’s Beyond Banking Products, taking responsibility for clients’ onboarding, activation and ongoing adoption of digital solutions. You develop and deliver business priorities and focus on holistic client experience with in-house solutions and services beyond banking, including expert demonstration of RBC’s proprietary Insight Edge platform. You recommend appropriate differentiated solutions to clients, cultivating long-term client relationships.
**What will you do?**
- Showcase the differentiated value RBC offers clients and prospects by expertly demonstrating and highlighting Beyond Banking solutions
- Demonstrate digital IQ by building awareness and encouraging clients to fully leverage the many digital benefits of solutions beyond banking, optimizing and simplifying their business operations
All of this will be delivered through a growth mindset, client centricity, strong partnerships, and communication by leveraging digital or human generated insights to:
- Educate the client on new or emerging issues that will impact their business
- Lean into the client’s journey, early and often, with financial advice as a Trusted Strategic Advisor
- Deliver on market plans by articulating the unique value proposition that differentiates RBC, increasing our share of wallet with an exceptional client experience
To win as a team, you will develop and execute consistent practice management routines with core team partners, such as Treasury Solutions Specialists, Business Deposit Specialists, Commercial Banking Advisors, and Directors/Relationship Managers, working together to identify opportunities for acquisition, retention, and growth. This includes planning and prioritizing market activities to win as One RBC, seeking referral opportunities for the relationship team and other one RBC partners.
**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have**
- Minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated experience with business development success
- Proactive client contact management, including cold calling, to support high impact salesperson success
- Proven track record of strong relationship management skills and proven sales success
**Nice-to-have**:
- Demonstrated excellence in Commercial Financial Services experience
- Deep knowledge of, and passion for, Beyond Banking solutions at RBC
- Post-Secondary education at college or university level in Business Administration or Financial Management
