Our client, has the product and the funding What an incredible organization located in Burnaby, BC, is searching for an experienced, qualified Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk. As a team-based company, our client values an individual who likes to collaborate with colleagues and believes in the mission of the organization. The individual who takes on this role should be competent in completing responsibilities and tasks assigned in the allotted times. Understanding systems, due process, and compliance is essential in this dynamic environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the full AP cycle, inclusive of reviewing approvals, matching purchase orders (PO’s) with invoices, general ledger coding, invoice entry, and providing a request for quotation (RFQ) accurately and on time
- Effectively collaborate with the operations facility and/or various internal departments to reconcile supplier issues/disputes in a timely manner
- Certify that AP is compliant with purchases and owes due and follow internal processes
- Facilitate electronic fund transfer (EFT) bank files and upload EFT files online for validation
- Support Financial Accounting with queries related to AP in a timely manner including analysis of expense accounts
- Coordinate audit requests and establish a timely completion
- Effectively manage full cycle accounts payables and reconciliations

**What we are looking for**:

- Accounting degree/diploma or equivalent an asset.
- Strong AP experience in a manual process-driven organisation
- Attention to detail, shrewd acumen, and ability to follow business cycles and processes.
- Communicative and of excellent interpersonal skills plus leadership
- Outstanding organisational skills and ability to think analytically
- Being capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability of performing tasks with process streamlining and automation
- Ability to understand systems approaches and the utilisation of technology to enhance workflows.
