**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Program and Set-up CNC Milling machines.

Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs

Communicate with Supervisor, for assignments and to resolve machining, or quality issues

Demold composite parts

Follow build manuals and quality control processes

Route, trim, drill and sand composite components to supplied drawings.

Fabricate templates and jigs to facilitate assembly, trimming and bonding.

Track, record and document work, materials, and products

Reports ineffective/broken tooling, tooling required to order, and machine problems to immediate supervisor.

Keep machines and surrounding area clean while maintaining a safe work environment

Operates overhead crane system using chains, eyebolts, slings, etc. as necessary to move work pieces or other materials when, where, and as required in the safest manner possible.

Using lean manufacturing principles arrange shop layout and workflow for efficiency

Ensure jobs are completed within the required time schedule

Driven to ensure all key performance indicator targets are met

Follow regulations and policies as outlined in company’s employee handbook

Follow requirements as required by ISO registration

Follow requirements as required by Controlled Goods Registration and other defense sector registrations (i.e. ITAR, etc.)

In accordance with the health & safety policy, follow and exceed the legislative requirements outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act in order to provide a safe & healthy workplace for all employees.

Other duties or projects as assigned - flexible to move between departments and contribute when CNC is slow in Infusion or Prep and Finish departments

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

Technical College Degree/Certificate

Must be a Canadian Citizen

Ability to read and understand blue print drawings, and experience using measuring tools

Must be able to work day shift for 3 weeks for training (6am - 4:30pm Mon - Thu) before switching to afternoon shift (4pm - 2:30am Mon - Thu)

Must be a quick learner, and have strong attention to detail

Ability to setup machines based on job requirements, using fixtures, vises, parallels and stops

Excellent eye-hand co-ordination and dexterity

Ability to work within a diverse team

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

Physical ability to handle all tools and equipment as necessary

Knowledge of basic production methods.

Good attendance record

Experience with 5 axis programming

Must be able to proficiently program, set up and run CNC mill to produce accurate parts

Demonstrate initiative, reliability and positive team attitude

Must be able to successfully pass a controlled goods background check
