**Objective**

The Delivery Manager has direct responsibility for the management of delivery labour and performance at multiple plant sites and project sites, with the objective of meeting the company delivery cost targets, while ensuring an engaged workforce operates in a safe, efficient manner. The Delivery Manager is an operations and labour management professional who understands the value of planning and processes and takes a disciplined approach to execution, while working closely and effectively with safety, sales, production, customer service/logistics, finance and HR personnel.

**Responsibilities**

Health and Safety:

- Responsible for implementation and compliance of Innocon Safety Program to ensure personnel are working in a safe manner in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner.
- Obeys safety guidelines when on construction sites and Innocon operations.
- Ensures that employees, equipment and processes meet or exceed the OSHA and Innocon guidelines, standards and advisories.
- Pursues a culture of safety that is best in class with an objective of “zero” injuries or incidents.
- Actively engages with the employees to reinforce safe behaviors.

Environment:

- Establishes environmental policies and processes as a priority at the site and at customer job sites.
- Recognizes environmental compliance as a priority at the site.
- Ensures regulations are met or exceeded by following Innocon and customer best practices.

Operations Strategy:

- Provides direct oversight of the shipping of concrete and the labour at the plant and project sites.
- Embraces best practices, processes and tools to ensure delivery activities are optimized and costs are best in class.
- Coordinates closely with the production and customer service/logistics teams to maximize efficiencies.
- Understands the value of quality and ensures processes are in place with the delivery labour to provide a quality product to our customers.
- Utilizes best practices in processing to ensure product remains within specifications as it is received by our customers.

HR/Coaching & Mentoring:

- Manage all direct reports to achieve operational success.
- Responsible for new hire onboarding, merit/recognition, development, disciplinary actions, and terminations on site as required.
- Participates in union negotiations.
- Fosters effective employee relations.
- Establishes a safe and productive work environment employees are proud to represent Innocon.

Operations Planning:

- Achieve annual revenue target by actively managing customer relations along with sales reps in the designated market.
- Works closely with the production and customer service/logistics teams to allocate delivery labour and equipment resources across the plant network.

Operations Analysis and Action Tracking:

- Effectively utilizes KPIs, Performance Efficiency Reviews, financial statements and operational reports to track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations.
- Uses available reports effectively to measure quality, identify variances and establish corrective action.

Fleet Image:

- Assists in maintaining the fleet in accordance with stated guidelines for fleet image.
- Fleet image includes mobile vehicles and equipment condition (cleanliness and appearance), preventive and scheduled maintenance, parts storage.

Performance Management:

- Promotes a culture of performance.
- Effectively utilizes KPIs, Performance Efficiency Reviews, financial statements and operational reports to track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations.

Customer Focus:

- Interacts with customers in order to strengthen the business relationship and to insure that expectations for quality and quantity of material are met.

Specific Accountabilities:

- Safety Performance objective is “Zero”
- Responsible to achieve targeted KPI’s i.e. safety, service, and volume delivered
- Customer satisfaction

Dimensions:

- 90 drivers, 10 hired haulers
- 9 plants representing 400,000m3
- ~100 job sites
- 4 collective agreements

**Qualification Profile**

Education & Work Experience:

- Undergraduate degree preferred in construction management, engineering, or business
- 5+ years of related experience

Knowledge & Skills:

- Excellent customer service skills - dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers
- Must be flexible and balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines
- Posses a general knowledge of construction and A&C products and a solid understanding of the market, competition and business opportunities
- Excellent leadership skills - must be able to motivate others and provide complete, direct and actionable feedback
- Posses a commitment to and willingness to devote great effort and time in order to reach goals
- Ability to make decision is a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete data and under tight
