Birth Doula Apprentice

Greater Toronto Doulas is a dedicated to providing compassionate and professional support to families during one of the most significant times in their lives. We are committed to providing a streamlined experience for doulas and the families they serve.

We are seeking _newly Trained Birth Doulas_ who are enthusiastic to join our new & growing team. If you have a passion for supporting families and are eager to take on clients immediately, we would love to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide emotional reassurance and comfort throughout labor and delivery.
- Offer physical support, including positioning, massage, and relaxation techniques.
- Assist clients in creating and implementing their birth plan/preferences.
- Provide education to clients about labor and delivery, pain management options, and newborn care, etc..
- Support clients in making informed decisions about their birth experience.
- Provide postnatal support and guidance on newborn care and recovery.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Birth Doula Training
- Previous experience as a doula is a plus, but we welcome new doulas who are eager to start caring for families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Reliable transportation to attend births and client visits.
- Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental attitude.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Reference Check)
