**Position Title**: VP, Data Strategy - Insights & Impact

**Reports To**: EVP, Individual Insurance & Brand Impact

**Department**: Enterprise Wide

**Term**: Permanent Full-Time

**Work Arrangements**: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

The successful VP, Data Strategy - Insights & Impact will further our overarching strategy by identifying, developing, and measuring, our evolving data-informed culture at Equitable; where our insights provide impact to our clients, partners, advisors and employees. Working across the enterprise, in this capacity you will provide leadership, expertise and strategic direction to shape how data insights further the impact of Equitable’ s business and digital transformation strategy. Fostering a deep partnership through collaboration and engagement with business and technology leaders, you will be the overall business lead for data strategy and cross-enterprise, cross-functional initiatives. You are a self-starter with an engaging leadership style, and solid influencing and facilitation skills, who will develop relationships across the organization.
Leveraging data to provide insights is a core component to our strategy. You will leverage insights to support the business teams tell their story - to help understand our business and the impact we have with clients and our partners.

**What you will be doing**:
As VP, Data Strategy, you will provide strategic oversight to the development and implementation for Equitable’ s approach to an enterprise-wide data strategy. Working across the organization, this strategic leader will:

- Develop the overall end to end business data strategy and architecture for the enterprise
- Partner closely with business and technology leaders to develop an enterprise approach to data governance
- Further the development of data science and analytics best practice to deliver insights to the business, to understand impact to our clients and partners
- Align to our strategy and business outcomes, working with the businesses to develop KPIs, adoption and measurement for interactions and outcomes - to ensure we are delivering impact to our clients, partners and employees
- Develop and lead the set up and execution of data and analytics strategy to support digital transformation program
- Working with the technology team to build a client centric common data platform leveraged as a single source of truth for all digital platforms, business intelligence and analytics
- Provide leadership and business oversight of Business Intelligence Platforms
- Define and create a business data architecture framework the business lines can leverage
- Tell our story - Support businesses, Brand and Client Impact teams to tell our story through data and impact

**What you will bring**:

- Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in a similar capacity, developing new data practices and expertise across a diverse business and organization, that has meaningful impact to clients and our strategic direction
- Ideally a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, engineering or other related field
- Financial Services Industry - Substantial depth of understanding the lifecycle of various insurance products and financial services and the impact to operations, distribution, product and marketing, sustainability, and compliance across various life insurance lines of business. Experience within a mutual company environment would be ideal
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal - able to present ideas to executive level audiences, and large-scale presentations with a diverse audience
- Strong leadership capabilities with a strong ability to influence, motivate, lead, and accomplish work objectives and deliverables through a diverse team
- Leadership skills to galvanize support within multiple business areas
- Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills are a key to success
- Make recommendations and assist with the direction of important strategic programs - and provide guidance on the immediate and long-term impact
