Volunteer Bracing Program Assistant

Looking for a volunteer (Kinesiology background strongly preferred) to help at a busy multidisciplinary pain clinic with a spine and musculoskeletal bracing program. Our physicians have academic affiliations with various universities including UofT and McMaster. You will have the opportunity to learn about various spine and musculoskeletal conditions. Responsibilities include:

- Measuring and fitting patients who qualify for medical bracing (e.g. knee brace, back brace)
- Discussing doctor’s brace recommendations with patients
- Discussing brace pricing, invoicing
- Liaising with patients and/or insurance companies about brace coverage
- Assisting with submission of various forms required for insurance coverage
- Following-up on brace requests and prescriptions
- Other administrative duties as required for the bracing program

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong leadership skills

Note: This is a volunteer position. No compensation will be provided.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $1.00 per hour
