SOCIAL MEDIA / COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

NOGU is an award winning high growth jewelry brand with a focus on inclusivity and giving back to meaningful causes worldwide. We are looking for the next rock star to work with our young, energetic and incredibly talented team in Toronto.

You’ll be creating and managing unique, original content on a daily basis, coordinating with our Brand Manager, Marketing Team, Videographer and Photographer, with in-house professional equipment, to find new and better ways to get the NOGU Brand message to consumers.

Help us tell the NOGU story in a way that aligns with changing and emerging cultural trends and find the best building blocks to tell new stories digitally.

Research and stay up to date on trending topics, information about fashion, e-commerce & social trends that could be used as a lens through which to tell our evolving story.

Ideate, develop & deliver exciting “socially consumable” (short form/mobile optimized) blog posts, photography, videography and collaborative content that engages and excites. Help execute & manage influencer / brand collaboration outreach. This will include researching and collaborating with relevant influencer accounts, blogs & social media profiles that align with the NOGU brand mission. Seed product, and work to promote specific collections, launches or sales.

Create unique and socially engaging written and visual content, contests and digital “happenings” effectively creating memorable experiences for existing customers and new customers alike online.

Help us tell the NOGU story in a way that aligns with changing and emerging cultural trends and find the best building blocks to tell new stories digitally.
Research and stay up to date on trending topics, information about fashion, e-commerce & social trends that could be used as a lens through which to tell our evolving story.

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand objectives to enhance visibility and engagement.

Bring an eye for detail and create pixel accurate material that showcases our products in their best light Create Content for various platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.

TikTok: Create a cohesive TikTok integrated strategy that mirrors all content that is being built for Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Snapchat

Youtube: Help create a content strategy for Youtube.Research existing content creation companies such as Refinery29, Buzzfeed, Insider etc and ideate on unique ideas for the NOGU brand.

Instagram: Create a content strategy that includes influencer outreach, collaborations, contests and more.

Snapchat: Create specific content for Snapchat and ideate on how to adapt content to a younger more mobile audience.

Live Shopping: Research and manage a live shopping strategy using NOGU's existing verified social media channels.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven experience as a Social Media/Communications Specialist in the fashion or jewelry industry.
- University or College Degree in E-Commerce Marketing, Creative Design, Content Creation, Communications or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Working knowledge of production graphics software including CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premier Pro & other digitally native editing tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools and photography.
- Experience in influencer marketing and public relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge and passion of business marketing tactics and online marketing required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
