West Shore Parks & Recreation Society (WSPRS) is looking for dedicated, passionate, and energetic staff to

**POSITION: Licensed Afterschool Care Leader (multiple positions)**
**SALARY: $20.79 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $23.70 per hour (2023 rates)**_ _**
**CLASSIFICATION: JB05, Program Instructor III**
**HOURS OF WORK: Minimum 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, for the school year. Hours can vary**

**between a 2:00-3:00PM start and a 5:30-6:00PM end time.**
**Shifts will also include full-day Pro D Days, winter break camp and spring break camp.**
**Hours and days may vary according to school schedules and program registration**

**JOB DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- This position is responsible for participating as a leader in the program; planning, implementing, and

evaluating working with a small team.
- Adaptable to new and changing programs and people.
- Ability to problem-solve and seek solutions.
- Communication and organizational skills required.
- Imaginative and flexible personality required to ensure a fun environment for participants.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must enjoy working in an indoor and outdoor environment.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 180 hours previous experience leading school age children (aged 5-12 yrs).
- 20 hours of proof of workshops/training courses is required.
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C is required.
- Skills, knowledge, and experience with specific areas such as physical literacy, arts, crafts and drama

are required.
- Post-secondary training in recreation, youth, childcare, or a related field is an asset.
