**Job Summary**:
Reporting to a Senior Project Advisor (Project Leader), the Project Manager III is responsible for managing multi-asset class capital construction/ works and park improvements projects.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage capital projects, from start of preliminary planning and design through to completion and closeout
- Procure, and manage a team of consulting engineers and contractors in the planning, design and construction of Regional capital works and park improvements
- Obtain all necessary regulatory approvals and permits
- Ensure the full involvement of client divisions/departments in the implementation of Regional projects
- Exercise effective cost and schedule control of projects
- Ensure that the works are constructed in compliance with the contract documents and applicable Health and Safety Policies
- Ensure that any issues or disputes arising during the delivery of the work are resolved in a timely manner
- Prepare staff reports to Regional Council, project status reports, and other reports as may be required
- Represent the Capital Construction Section on departmental or corporate committees as required
- Ensure that all projects are delivered within expected timelines and in accordance with all applicable regulations, legislation and Regional policy and by-laws
- Respond to enquires related to the managed projects
- Collaborate with other departments (purchasing, budgets, legal, operating, maintenance and realty) to ensure effective project delivery
- Ensure that all project information is accurate and maintained in compliance with reporting requirements
- Participate in and support departmental and corporate initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Project Management with a strong background in Project Management
- Certification in Project Management
- Minimum five (5) years project management experience in the successful delivery of large, complex facilities / institutional projects on schedule and budget
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) preferred

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
