**Position Description**:
We are hiring a CRPC to primarily support the Rare-Pediatric Eye Cancer Biobank. Responsibilities include:
**Regulatory**
- Develop and maintain REB documents including study protocol and informed consent forms based on regulations, templates and institutional requirements
- Oversee REB submissions in a timely manner
- Keep abreast of regulations and policies governing clinical research

**Project Management**
- Develop, monitor and iterate Biobank work plan
- Oversee day-to-day conduct of the Biobank
- Independently solve problems and prioritize competing priorities
- Coordinate Clinical Research Project Assistants and Research Administrative Assistants
- Develop robust operating procedures to ensure adherence to study protocols, institutional requirements and regulatory obligations

**Participant Recruitment & Retention**
- Identify potential participants in Epic and screen for study eligibility
- Communicate with clinical staff for support with study recruitment
- Obtain informed consent
- Develop and maintain participant tracking databases

**Biospecimen Collection & Processing**
- Develop and maintain CentraXX database to precisely document biospecimen inventory
- Oversee coordination of Biobank Quality Control procedures
- Monitor electronic medical records at SickKids to identify procedures that might result in a potential biospecimen
- Collect biospecimens from SickKids and referral sites
- Coordinate SickKids Central Biobank processing of biospecimens
- Create research orders in Epic for research biospecimen collection
- Document biospecimen collection in Epic using research notes

**Clinical Data Collection & Management**
- Develop and maintain REDCap and Excel databases
- Efficiently extract data from Epic into REDCap or Excel with a high degree of accuracy
- Oversee receipt of clinical data from Referral Sites

**Reporting**
- Prepare accurate accrual reports

**Represent the Biobank**
- Encourage and foster collaborative relationships with patient organizations, SickKids staff, referral sites and government and community agencies
- Recruit, train and retain referral sites

**Here's What You'll Need**:

- Master of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years of clinical research experience aligning with aforementioned role(s)
- Demonstrated experience in any of the following would be considered an asset:

- Superior communication, organization and time management
- Meticulous attention-to-detail
- Ability to work independently with tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Exceptional problem solving and decision making
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives
