**Reports to**: Executive Director

**Hours of Work**:24.5 Hours per Week

**Contract Dates**: 18 Months (with the possibility of renewal)

**Rate of Pay**: $23 - $25 / hour

**About Us**:
The Active Adult Centre of Mississauga (AACM) is a recreational, wellness, and community engagement hub for adults 50+ years of age. Established in 1992, the Centre offers a wide array of weekly classes, events, programs and services focused on fitness, creativity, and multicultural enrichment. A registered charity, the AACM keeps older adults active, independent, and engaged with their community.

**About the Role**:

- Planning special events for seniors’ cohort (e.g., annual gala, BBQ, etc.)
- Researching and leveraging opportunities for potential third-party fundraising initiatives
- Implementing select licensed gaming activities (with a team of seasoned volunteers)
- Assisting with individual giving appeals to organization’s members (2 per year)
- Coordinating donor engagement campaigns such as monthly giving and stewardship initiatives
- Collaborating with colleagues on content creation for varied events (e.g., creating social media posts, promotional mailouts, etc.)
- Evaluating fundraising activities

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- A post-secondary diploma (or currently working toward a post-secondary diploma) in a field relevant to fund development, with familiarity in event planning, donor stewardship strategies, and individual giving
- Organized, collaborative, and able to thrive in a team-based environment, the applicant will work closely with our Executive Director
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Computer literacy and comfort using Microsoft Office programs, Canva, etc.
- Ability to work productively in a hybrid working environment - both from a home office and at our Centre
- Experience working with older adults an asset
- Someone who is friendly, personable, and has a good sense of humour will be a great fit with our organization
