Payroll Clerk/human Resources Administrator

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources the **Payroll Clerk/HR Administrator **is responsible for processing a complex, Canada-wide payroll on a bi-weekly basis as well as assisting the HR team by:
- Tracking and implementing various HR rewards and benefits programs
- Completing, tracking and monitoring various security clearances
- Provide support to our managers and HR team with performance assessment and salary appraisal process
- Assisting with our hiring processes and participating in the implementation of various employee training and orientation processes
- Assisting with recruiting activities by conducting preliminary phone calls, analyzing responses, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements
- Other HR and payroll administrative duties as assigned
- Payroll experience, including a working knowledge of Canadian government legislation for payroll administration and reporting, considered an asset.
**Qualifications**:
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of payroll experience is required
- Proficiency in working with payroll software and Microsoft Office products required.
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines; have excellent organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced office environment.
- Must be highly committed to the provision of exceptional customer service.
- Possess an understanding of employment standards and labour legislation
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with ability to articulate with accuracy and detail
- Must be flexible and have the ability to manage ever changing priorities and multi-task and meet goals/deadlines
