Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and lead activities for youth in a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to youth participants.
- Create and implement educational programs that promote child welfare and personal development.
- Foster positive relationships with youth and their families.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution among youth participants.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement program goals.

- Ability to create a safe and inclusive environment for youth.

**Education**:

- Degree or diploma in Child & Youth Studies, Recreation & Leisure, Social Work, Education, Social or Human Services, or equivalent education In a relatable field.

License/Certification:

- First Aid and CPR Certification
- WHIMIS
- CPI Certificate
- Drivers License and DL Abstract
- Intervention and Crim check(Vulnerable Sector)
- Diversity Training is a plus
- Aboriginal Awareness Training is a plus
- Medication administration is a plus
- Abuse prevention Training is a plus

Related Experience:

- 1-3 years of experience working with children and youth, aged 0-17
- Previous experience leading others
- Previous experience in program development, execution, and evaluation
- Self-motivated and proactive, ability to multi-task, strong time management, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and strong mediation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong administrative and technological skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.),
- Current First Aid/CPR (*required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
