**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will use your expertise to provide strategic HR advice to clients on:

- Lead, oversee and coordinate ministry-specific and/or corporate strategic human resources projects/initiatives by providing complex planning, research, analysis, development, interpretation, strategic advice and consultative services.
- Support large transformational initiatives and organizational development and design within a labour relations environment
- Support strategic human resources priorities by developing, implementing and delivering programs and initiatives in the areas of people strategy/human capital planning, such as resource management, talent and performance management, succession planning, and leadership learning and development.
- Assess, develop, monitor and evaluate overall business impacts and risk management strategies associated with achieving ministry business plans.
- Develop strategic plans to support change management in organizational capacities and competencies, restructuring and organizational transformation.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Knowledge of Human Resources Management Principles and Practices**:

- You have a keen understanding of, and expertise in, industry human resources practices and trends, including experience leading or supporting human capital planning initiatives.
- You are knowledgeable about HR legislation, and policies and programs in several of the following strategic HR knowledge areas: health and wellness, employee engagement, accessibility, compensation and strategic labour relations.
- You have experience with supporting modernization and organizational change and development initiatives through organizational design, job and competency design, gap analysis, union-management relationship building and workforce adjustment/deployment/in-placement strategies.

**Leadership and Project Management Skills**:

- You have demonstrated strong project management and strategic planning skills and experience to lead, oversee and coordinate large scale strategic human resources projects and initiatives under tight timelines and with limited resources, involving a wide-range of stakeholders and contributors.
- You have proven experience in providing leadership and collaboration through all project management phases including scope, timeframes, milestones, deliverables, planning, recommending staff resources, guiding staff, and completing project deliverables on time from initial concept through implementation and adoption.
- You have the demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and/or working groups of professional staff who are not direct reports.

**Conceptual and Analytical Skills**:

- You are a detail-oriented, conceptual thinker with proven strong analytical and research skills to monitor and evaluate programs, identify impacts, develop recommendations based on data, and understand and interpret complicated business initiatives.
- You have proven ability to research, analyze, synthesize and interpret data and provide feasible solutions and recommendations for corrective action and/or implementation.

**Communication, Presentation and Relationship Management Skills**:

- You have developed and sustained solid working relationships with clients, colleagues and internal/external partners.
- You act with integrity, your commitment to confidentiality is unquestioned and you can develop appropriate responses to sensitive situations.
