**Description:
- Temporary Full Time- Job Title**:Manager, Global Compliance**
- This role is temporary full-time for a 12-month term (with the possibility for a 6-month extension)_

**Overview**
- Part of the Great-West Lifeco Inc. Global Compliance team, this role ensures second line Compliance oversight by supporting global initiatives and business as usual activities related to the roll-out, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Global Regulatory Compliance Management framework, including methodologies, guidance, tools, and templates.- The Global Compliance team facilitates an independent and objective view of regulatory compliance activities within the organization to provide a basis for the Chief Compliance Office’s informed opinion about the state of compliance.- This role works closely with Compliance leaders and their delegates in Great-West Lifeco and our global businesses to support the embeddedness of compliance practices, processes, and policies across the organization.**Accountabilities**
- The Manager Global Compliance supports the implementation, embeddedness, and continuous improvement of the enterprise-wide Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Framework. This role is responsible for:
- Managing the annual Compliance Risk Assessment process and preparation of calibration and reporting materials to Senior Compliance Leadership Team
- Managing activities related to the global Compliance Testing Program
- Managing activities related to the global Testing Practice Group
- Managing the execution of other business as usual activities (BAU)
- Oversees activities related to the QA and Peer Review program
- Influencing the adoption and implementation of the RCM Framework elements
- Ongoing development, maintenance, and evaluation of methodologies and process enhancements related to the above
- The manager oversees Associate Managers when they are providing support on deliverables

**Detailed Accountabilities**

**Annual Compliance Risk Assessment**
- Manages the key elements of the annual global compliance risk assessment, including developing the plan, training, and effective challenge/review of global results
- Develops and maintains Power BI files for the purposes of collating and tracking results
- Prepare supporting materials for Senior Leadership calibration sessions, including trend analysis, identification of key risks and global priorities
- Develops/maintains global risk assessment methodologies, including enhancements to the program

**Global Compliance Testing Program**
- Oversees the completion of the annual tests plans across all jurisdictions
- Manages the development of Annual Test Plans
- Prepares monthly testing reporting for the Lifeco CCO and Senior Compliance Leadership Team
- Manages activities related to the Global Testing Practice group
- Manages Oversight of Oversight Program
- Performs annual update of testing methodology, and identifies enhancements to be implemented

**QAIP and Peer Review Program**
- Oversees activities related to the QA and Peer Review program

**Business as Usual Activities**
- Remain abreast of current and emerging global regulatory compliance themes/trends from a risk assessment perspective
- Completes annual review and update of the Risk Assessment and Testing methodologies

**Experience and Skills**
- Minimum 5+ years of progressively senior compliance experience
- Post-secondary degree and/or applicable work experience
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory expectations
- Strong undeyrstanding of compliance risk assessment process and compliance testing
- Experience executing strategy that supports Compliance mandate and maturity
- Understanding and experience in effective program management and change management, with ability to successfully partner with colleagues across functions and regions
- Demonstrated agility and ability to switch across areas of responsibility
- The base salary for this position is between **$74,500****:

- $137,900** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
