In this exciting opportunity you will provide leadership in literacy and digital technology outreach services to people of all ages in underserved communities within Edmonton.

**What we're looking for**:

- If you want to make a very real difference in the community, and you are energetic, organized, a quick learner and like to drive, this is the job for you As a Community Librarian, you will connect and collaborate with community members, organizations and library staff in order to respond to community needs for literacy and digital technology programming outside EPL’s walls. Front-line customer service and program delivery to community members of all ages is also a key responsibility of this position.**Job Requirements**:

- Master of Library & Information Studies degree, or equivalent, from ALA-accredited institution is required.
- Related experience is an asset.
- Valid Alberta Operator's License.

- Ability to work effectively outside of traditional library activities and settings.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and project leadership skills.
- The ability to work positively and effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with electronic resources and social software.
- The ability to operate a van and regularly perform a variety of physical tasks in order to load and unload the vehicle.

**Note**:

- Satisfactory background screenings is required for this position which includes a Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check, and a valid Driver Abstract

**Pay Band**:
$38.56 - $49.22 per hour*
- Approximately $70,463 - $89,930 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
