**What our Accounting Assistant does**:
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for various audit functions. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You will contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.

**A Snapshot of Job Duties**:
**For Banquets Accounting**
- Accounts Receivable accounting for banquets and reconciliation of Aging Report

**For Revenue Audit**
- Review Slot Games paperwork and balance daily revenues and volumes in the Slot Accounting system (SDS).
- Review Table Games paperwork and balance daily revenues and volumes in the Table Accounting system (CMP).
- Review all closing cash and token chips paperwork to ensure the change in inventory is accounted for.
- Balance the Slot accounting system, the Tables accounting system, the Cage spreadsheet and paperwork, and the Count Room paperwork, and determine if adjustments are required
- Balance month to date and year to date casino gaming win and volume results and investigate discrepancies.
- Review F&B cash drops for variances and balance F&B floats.
- Troubleshooting the gaming system, verifying data, or providing input if there are discrepancies.
- Prepare daily Revenue Summary and submit it to NSGC on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Calculate and transfer Win Tax daily.

**What’s on Your Resume?**
- Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and “all about the guest" attitude
- Post-secondary education in accounting/finance an asset; or suitable combination of education and experience.
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service oriented communication.
- Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines effectively.
- Must be able to work under mínimal supervision.
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
- Accounting software experience such as JDE or SAP an asset. Strong data analysis skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Minimum 2 years of experience (including data entry)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must possess excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
