**Job Title: Line CookJob Summary**:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and quality standards. They work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment to ensure food is prepared accurately, safely, and presented attractively. The Line Cook collaborates with other kitchen staff to deliver a consistent, high-quality dining experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Food Preparation & Cooking**:
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in food prep, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops.
- **Station Management**:
- Maintain assigned station, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and organized throughout service.
- Follow kitchen processes, including prep lists, portion controls, and cooking timelines.
- **Quality & Consistency**:
- Ensure food presentation and taste meet restaurant standards before it is served.
- Monitor food freshness, quality, and safety by following food handling and storage guidelines.
- **Kitchen Safety & Hygiene**:
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP guidelines, temperature control).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Handle food, tools, and equipment responsibly to minimize waste and safety hazards.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Communicate effectively to handle orders, substitutions, or special dietary requests.
- Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries as needed.
- **Other Duties**:
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and minimizing food waste.
- Follow opening and closing procedures for the kitchen.
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen leadership.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education & Experience**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar role is preferred.
- **Skills**:
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques (grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, etc.).
- Ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen instructions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to work under pressure.
- **Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
