Anderson Therapy Services (ATS) is currently seeking a Community Support Navigator to support our growing clinical team at Anderson Therapy Services. ATS provides child-led services where we focus on highlighting strengths to empower the individual to overcome the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their full potential in school and in community. Currently, we offer services to the Dundas and surrounding areas, but most of ATS’ clientele stems from contracts with Indigenous communities across Ontario, Nunavut, and Quebec. We believe in a collaborative approach to provide caring whereby the ATS team works with Northern and Southern clients to create innovative and personalized therapy services for people of all ages and places, including locally, across Canada, and internationally. In addition to the high-quality service, we provide in our clinic, we use advanced technology to conduct online therapy sessions, reaching clients in their most convenient location. Community Support Navigators will participate in trips to the communities with whom they work to allow for greater connection between the community, the child, and the clinician. Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Clinical Director, and the Community Support Manager, is responsible for the implementation of assigned contracts and agreements
- Contacts leaders in the community of assigned contract and agreements
- Arranges and organizes meetings with community contacts and team members prior to the beginning of the contract, and when necessary, throughout the life of the contract.
- Identifies the needs of the community re: travel, co-ordination, informed consents, progress updates, nursing station notes etc., and communicates these to the therapy team,
- Schedules all tasks on a timeline for each contract: securing informed consents, progress reports to nursing stations, assessments reports, final reports etc.
- Ensure that each community’s therapy team is aware of dates, and deliver to these deadlines;
- Track time vs contract and update the therapy team regularly
- Issue regular reports to community / JP re: progress of contract
- First point of contact for community if there are issues.
- Connects with therapists or Team Leaders as necessary
- Identifies admin/operational needs and communicates these
- Attends admin meetings and Team Leader meetings
- Holds regular meetings of community’s entire team to ensure contract and agreements are met
- Participates in all communication efforts to communities they are assigned to
- Assists finance in arranging travel for assigned contracts and agreements
- Gather and compile information required for a variety of documents and reports
- Ongoing support to Clinicians. Available to answer questions and problem solve in and with the communities
- Collaborate with the Marketing Specialist to create communication plans for communities they are responsible for.
- Follow up with Communities on weekly/monthly basis per the Communications plan;
- In collaboration with Admin team, complete Contact List for all communities with correct contact persons. Maintain this list for Clinicians and with the Clinicians’ help. (They are often the first person to know when a new hire is made in a community.
- Qualifications Required:

- Post-Secondary diploma in Office Administration or related field of study
- Asset:

- Experience working with both children and adults in Indigenous Communities
- Able to work well as part of a team including our clinical team of Speech-Language Pathologists, Communicative Disorders Assistants, Occupation Therapists, Physiotherapists, Behaviour Therapists, Art Therapists, & Psychologists as well as Administrative staff
- Possess the flexibility and time-management skills
- Comfort with technology, including telepractice/video conferencing technology (e.g., Zoom)
- Strong computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs as well as Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
- Able to travel to Northern First Nations Communities
