Kinectrics is building its Medical Isotopes portfolio, which is to span the supply chain from stable isotope production to cGMP radioisotope and drug product manufacturing.
Kinectrics is seeking a Technical Assistant to support our medical isotope program that will help us meet the global demands for the next generation of medical isotopes. This position will aid in establishing Kinectrics as a leader in uninterrupted supply of high-quality isotopes that will be used in life-saving medications for patients worldwide.
As a key member of the operations team, you will play a vital role in the production process by assisting a team of technologists with receiving and maintaining an inventory of raw materials and finished products, sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders and invoices. The role is also involves data and record management support for the production team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on role in an innovative and growing environment.
**Accountabilities: How you will make an impact**
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with Kinectrics policies and procedures.
- Responsible for managing inventory of raw materials and finished products, including inventory control, restocking of supplies, periodic maintenance of instruments and/or equipment, and supplier management.
- Perform shipping, receiving, and incoming inspections of materials and goods.
- Move materials, goods, and equipment from various labs/facilities, as required.
- Provide administrative and data record support to the Senior Program Manager and all members of the Medical Isotopes team.
- Respond to vendor inquiries, maintain good vendor relations, and solve problems.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by following good quality and safety practices in all aspects of the work performed.
- Perform clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.
- Perform other duties as required.
**What you need to succeed**:
- Minimum 3 years related experience or equivalent combined academic and practical experience.
- Requires strong computer skills in software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel (including creation and use of macros), Power Point, SAP, etc.
- Requires comprehensive knowledge of production/operations practices and procedures, data record management, and priority setting.
- Ability to work in a confidential capacity and understand the sensitivity of a variety of business documentation.
- Ability to read and understand a basic business financial statement is an asset.
- Understanding of continuous improvement techniques and workplace organization.
