Reporting to the
_Inventory Control Manager_, the Inventory Coordinator orders, coordinates and monitors inventory of products for the Metro Distribution Centre (MDC) (specifically) in order to ensure that quantitative and qualitative measures included in the operation are met and monitored especially in the area of Inventory Control and its related aspects i.e. customer service via Order Fill Rate, product losses, etc.

The Coordinator will need to help ensure topics related to health and safety, customer satisfaction/service, operating costs, cost reductions, productivity, good manufacturing practices, sanitation, procurement and replenishment are all monitored or taken into account for their DC. This person will need to work and understand all aspects of the business from production, transportation, distribution, IT, sales and telemarketing to facilitate the movement of product through our network and the role each department plays.

Specifically, the Coordinator:

- Manages all aspects of Inventory as required (ordering, variance’s, forecasting, planning co-packing, inventory levels vis à vis Health & Safety, space optimization, trailer optimization, Order Fill Rates, product losses, etc.)
- Coordinates with employees and third-party partners to ensure that our expectations of the operation, costs associated and inventory (as outlined above) are met
- Works and coordinates with the operational Warehousing/Shipping Supervisors and Third-Party providers to ensure Safe, on time, complete shipments to our customers via our Distribution network or other networks;
- Provide the leadership and guidance to these partners each and every day to help them achieve Agropur’s expectations;
- Manage and/or participate in projects from time to time as business needs change and evolve;
- Ensure key performance indicators are tracked, communicated, analyzed and addressed as required;
- Helps to maintain the requirements for food quality, safety and defense.

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in Logistics, Planning, Operations Management, Engineering or in a relevant field; alternatively, a College Diploma in the above fields, especially Planning or Logistics, would be considered;
- Experience in a planning, logistics or supervisory role directly involved in shipping, warehousing and inventory control, preferably with refrigerated, limited shelf life food product;
- Advanced computer literacy with MS Office (Word & Excel)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint will be an asset
- Working knowledge of Oracle systems (especially warehousing, inventory control and planning) will be an asset
- Working knowledge & user experience with a WMS and IBP system would be an asset
- A working knowledge of French is a valuable asset

This position has the following work schedule:

- Generally, this position will start at 6:00 a.m.
- This position will most likely work a split week with no 2 days off in a row
- It is possible that Saturday will be a regular working day (day shift)
- Overtime will be needed, from time to time, as others in the department take vacations
- There is a possibility for some days working from home after the COVID pandemic; during the pandemic, working from home is the norm.
