**EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY**

**Land Records Coordinator - Regular Full Time**
- Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) is a self-governing First Nation that delivers a wide range of community services, including all of those typically delivered by municipalities._ _The Lands Department is responsible for the delivery of all planning, development, and engineering related services._
- TFN is seeking a Land Records Coordinator to join our Lands Department. The Land Records Coordinator will manage and maintain the property database of the Tempest Land Management System, and provide assistance to the Finance Department to ensure accurate and consistent assessment, property taxes and property records._

**Duties**
- Reviews, verifies and loads property and assessment data from Land Title and Survey Authority (LTSA) and BC Assessment (BCA) into Tempest software
- Maintains and ensures accuracy and integrity of the property and assessment database
- Coordinates with Finance and other departments, providing relevant assessment, property taxes, land and utility bills information and ensuring accurate property records
- Assists in processing of leasehold strata property transfer documents
- Coordinates with BC Assessment and LTSA to ensure consistent accurate database for TFN property records including Legal property data and civic addresses.
- Provides support in verifying accuracy and reasonableness of property assessments on Tsawwassen Lands where material; specifically in regards to property taxation.
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- One year of post-secondary courses in business, accounting or office administration

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience with Tempest software
- Experience with MS Office
- Basic knowledge of municipal and property tax structure
- Understanding of basic development processes and able to inform and provide current records, plans and background to BCA
- Familiarity with BCA’s appeal process is an asset
- Basic familiarity of database systems and web programming
- Ability to communicate relevant and timely information and maintain records

**Wages**:Competitive pay commensurate with qualifications with excellent benefits including enrolment in the BC Municipal Pension Plan.

**Hours of work**: Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30
