Service Technician

**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a junior level Hydraulic Service Technician. The Hydraulic Technician will be responsible for inspecting, assembling, repairing, installations, and commissioning of hydraulic, lubrication, and/or process systems or sub-systems at the factory and at customers facilities.

**Tasks/Responsibilities**:

- Service Repairs - both in house and on customer site
- Commissioning of systems or sub-systems - Hydac built or other
- Installation of systems - including plumbing etc.
- Drawing up-dating from site work, customer Lube and Hydraulic Manuals up-dating services
- Oil Sampling routines
- Read and comprehend fluid analysis reports.
- Preventive / Proactive Maintenance for companies, which would include filter changes/fluid changes, tank cleaning, air breather changes, etc.
- Filter audits, equipment audits
- Lubrication handling practices/on-site maintenance training
- Maintain equipment.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Use of various equipment to test fluid samples:

- Testing oil samples, reporting results, interpreting results.
- General housekeeping, removal waste, assembly of components, equipment / tool maintenance.
- Act as a liaison with customers
- Other duties, as assigned.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in solutions where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- We are seeking an individual who is a self-starter, technical by nature, works well independently, as well as part of a team and can multitask. Technical College or University experience an asset but not a requirement.
- Valid G driver’s license
- Requires a detail oriented, self-motivated individual.

**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
