Autocad Technician

Established in 2007, QuartzCo is a leader in the Ontario stone installation and fabrication industry. With a continued focus on service and customer relationships, QuartzCo is growing rapidly and looking for team members who will help to support and grow our brand in the Ontario market.

We are currently in need of a CAD technician to work out of our location in the Welland area. You will be working in the office drafting AutoCAD drawings by referencing images taken on site using a digital template software that are then submitted for fabrication to cut and polish stone to drawing specifications.

Daily responsibilities include converting pictures and measurements captured on site into a CAD drawing that is used to fabricate finished products. You will be required to regularly communicate with customers, work with internal and external partners to generate accurate drawings in a timely manner.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to;
- Draw from blueprints if onsite measurements are not complete.
- Use online data base platform to gain information and upload finished orders
- Convert measurements and pictures into a CAD drawing which will be submitted for fabrication.
- Prepare a purchase order and final order confirmation document to send to customers

**Qualifications**:

- Must have previous experience with AutoCAD (2D)
- Ability to actively communicate with internal and external partners
- Ability to work in a team environment is critical
- Technical knowledge and mindset of assembly in construction environment
- Understand and able to navigate architectural drawing packages for details

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 1 year (required)
- drafting: 1 year (preferred)
- Stone Industry: 1 year (preferred)
